Affiliate disclosure
If you book through our links we earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. That is how Axentia Travels is funded.
How it works
We work with Stay22, a company that connects travel sites with booking platforms such as Booking.com, Hotels.com and Expedia. When you click one of our accommodation links, you pass through Stay22 and land on one of those platforms. If you book there, the platform pays a commission and we receive a share. The price you pay is the same as if you had gone there directly.
Which links are affiliate links
- The "See places to stay" buttons.
- Links to accommodation within the text of a guide.
- The places to stay shown on the maps.
- If you accept "Affiliate and marketing" cookies, ordinary links to booking platforms as well: a Stay22 program turns them into affiliate links.
Every page with these links carries a notice at the top.
Also, if you accept "Affiliate and marketing" cookies, a Stay22 script may open a search for places to stay (on Booking.com, for example) in a new tab behind this page, at most once every several days, or in the app if you are on a phone. If you book from there, we may also earn a commission. To avoid this, decline or for "Affiliate and marketing".
What does not change
- What we recommend. The guides compare areas and say who each one suits, drawbacks included. We do not charge to mention a hotel or an area.
- Who you buy from. Axentia Travels is not a travel agency: it does not sell trips or packages. The booking, the payment and any change or cancellation are handled by the platform.
Cookies
Stay22 and the platforms use cookies to know that a booking came from this site. What each one stores, and how to accept or reject it, is in the cookie policy.
