What data we process

The site has no user accounts, forms or comments. The data processed is:

  • Technical data about your visit. The server hosting the site receives your IP address, browser and the page requested, like any website. It is used to deliver the pages and for security.
  • Visit measurement. We count page views and some clicks in aggregate, with no cookies and without identifying anyone. Provider: Umami (Umami Software, Inc., United States).
  • Your preferences. The language you chose and your cookie choice are stored in your own browser.
  • What you write to us. If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply.

Third-party services

  • Stay22. Provides the maps, the accommodation links and a program that turns ordinary links into affiliate links. It is based in Canada. The map and that program load only with your permission; when they do, Stay22 receives your IP address and browser details, can recognise you on later visits and in turn uses measurement services from other companies.
  • Visit measurement. Umami, from Umami Software, Inc., based in the United States. It receives the IP address and browser data to count visits in aggregate. It sets no cookies.
  • Booking platforms. If you click an accommodation link you land on a platform such as Booking.com, Hotels.com or Expedia. From then on that platform's privacy policy applies.
  • Site hosting. Vercel, based in the United States.

The detail of what each one stores in your browser is in the cookie policy.

  • Your consent, for affiliate and marketing services. You can withdraw it at any time under "Cookie preferences", in the footer of every page.
  • Legitimate interest in the site working, being secure and our knowing in aggregate how much it is used.

International transfers

The providers mentioned may process data outside your country, in particular in Canada, the United States and the European Union.

How long data is kept

Emails you send us, for as long as needed to reply and follow up. The periods for what is stored in your browser are in the cookie policy.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, for it to be corrected or deleted, object to its processing, ask for portability and withdraw your consent. Write to the contact email. You can also lodge a complaint with the data protection authority: in Brazil, the ANPD; in the European Union, the one in your country.

Children

The site is not aimed at children and does not knowingly collect their data.
