Cookie policy
This page sets out what is stored in your browser when you use Axentia Travels, who stores it and for how long. There are two categories: what is necessary, which is always on, and affiliate and marketing, which depends on your permission.
Necessary
Needed for the site to work. They cannot be switched off.
| Name | Where it is stored | Duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
locale | Cookie on this site | 1 year | Remember the language you chose in the selector |
consent | This browser's local storage | Until you delete it or this policy changes | Remember your choice about the category below |
locale is only set if you use the language selector.
Affiliate and marketing
These are services from Stay22, the company we use to recommend places to stay. They load only if you accept this category in the cookie notice.
Accommodation map
The map is a Stay22 window inside the page. It loads if you accepted this category or if you tap "Show map".
| Name | Where it is stored | Duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
session22 | Cookie on www.stay22.com | 3 days | Stay22 session |
__cf_bm | Cookie on .stay22.com | 30 minutes | Cloudflare: tell people apart from automated programs |
_hjSessionUser_… | Cookie on .stay22.com | 1 year | Hotjar: recognise the same visitor |
_hjSession_… | Cookie on .stay22.com | 30 minutes | Hotjar: the current visit |
visitor_id_id22, sid22, hip22, conMeth, impressionmap1db, s22theme…, _gcl_ls, __mpq_… | Storage on www.stay22.com | No fixed date | Stay22 identifiers, Google tag and Mixpanel |
When it loads, the map also connects to Hotjar, Google Tag Manager, Mixpanel, Sentry, Font Awesome and Stadia Maps, which provides the map background.
Affiliate link script
A Stay22 program that turns ordinary links to booking platforms into affiliate links. According to Stay22, it may also open a search for places to stay (on Booking.com, for example) in a new tab behind the page, at most once every several days, or in the app if you are on a phone. We explain it in the affiliate disclosure.
| Name | Where it is stored | Duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
__cf_bm | Cookie on .stay22.com | 30 minutes | Cloudflare: tell people apart from automated programs |
visitor_id_id22, sid22, hip22, conMeth | This site's local storage | 6 hours; visitor_id_id22 has no expiry | Identify the visitor and the visit |
Stay22 also receives technical details of the connection, such as the IP address, approximate city, browser and language, and can use them to recognise the same visitor even with no cookies stored.
Links to places to stay
When you click an accommodation button or link, a new tab opens and passes through Stay22 before reaching the booking platform. At that step Stay22 stores:
| Name | Where it is stored | Duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
session22 | Cookie on www.stay22.com | 3 days; up to 69 if the script above was active | Attribute the booking to the site you came from |
__cf_bm | Cookie on .stay22.com | 30 minutes | Cloudflare: tell people apart from automated programs |
After that, the booking platform (for example Booking.com, Hotels.com or Expedia) stores its own cookies under its own policy. With Hotels.com and Expedia, Button (r.bttn.io), an affiliate network, is also involved.
These links work even if you reject the category. They store nothing on this site or when the page opens: the cookies sit on the Stay22 and platform domains, and only if you click.
Visit measurement
The site's visit measurement uses no cookies and identifies no one, which is why it is not in the notice.
How to change your choice
"Cookie preferences", in the footer of every page, opens the notice again. Rejecting is as easy as accepting.
If you had accepted and later reject, we delete what the Stay22 script stored on this site and reload the page without the script. We cannot delete what Stay22 stored on its own domain: the __cf_bm cookie expires by itself after 30 minutes, and you can remove the rest in your browser settings.
Where this list comes from
From what was observed in the browser on 5 October 2026, using Chrome. Stay22 and its providers may change what they store; when we notice, we will update this page and ask for your permission again.
